Designer Gunho Lee has shared a new concept video for the iPhone XI running iOS 13.

The rendered device features squared edges, an A13 processor, a USB-C port, PowerDrop charging of other iPhones, next generation Face ID, in-display Touch ID, and more. New iOS 13 features shown include Split View for iPhone, redesigned apps, dark mode, and more

I hadn't thought of the standing up point, and I can see how that would be convenient. Of course, they could make a phone that's comfortable for me to hold, and you could buy a flat-edged case to make yours stand up and leave my fingers happy. ;-)

More to the point, why make these elaborate ‘demos’ of something that is unlikely to be the design of the next iPhone at all? These are just wild guesses.

What is this fascination with uncomfortable sharp edges? How is that better than something ergonomic and comfortable?

As a 5s user, I do admitingly like the design of it. I even like how this design allowed it to stand up. Still rocking with it, but I never had a problem with it, nevermind that you can buy a case for that. I have except it was for protection and I've always been okay with sharp edged iPhones.
