you don't need to be in the home screen to see you have an email.

after i install task notification, i have no sound on my phone. Can't hear music or phone calls. i have 1.1.4 and 4.6BL...sad....

Seriously Pat, is it hard to understand, that icon indicates the Apple Bluetooth headset is connected ? By the way, the Taskbar Notifier works again. I'm at 1.1.4. Thanks

I can't see it in the iClarified source under installer.

The developer has requested it pulled until a universal version is done which should be really soon. In the meanwhile just install it manually using the link at the end of the tutorial!

Under iClarified folder there is no Taskbar Notifier

Still the same. I deleted the previous version a while ago cause it didn't worked at all. Everything else is ok it's jut the mail. Thanks's for the quick response anyway.

bundy, soller, I just ran into someone with the same problem. I fixed it by changing the permissions of SMST. I have changed the package on installer. Please try uninstalling, rebooting, refresh sources, install, reboot. Then let me know if it is fixed! Thanks.

soller, bundy: I just checked this and after reading all my new mail the icon does disappear for me. Did u have a previous version installed ?

@soller: I have the excact same problem. The little enveloppe is always showing

Thanks Thomas for your reply, I follow your instrauction , I uninstall v.9 which I was install true insttaller, than reboot, install again, reboot and back again, but nothing happen, dont show any thing from miss call or unread SMS or un read mail... what I make wrong ? Help please

When you have installed Taskbar notifier 0.8 ... first uninstall it... uninstall also the 0.9 form iClarified source... reboot the phone and then install the 0.9 Taskbar notifier form iClaririfed source and reboot again... This worked for me...

This not work for me, I have 1.1.3 ziphone jailbreak and install Task bar Notification v.9 but not show any icon, I have 3 miss call, 4 unread mail, and 10 SMS in my iphone but not show at all all this missed... I try to add in manually but again nothing also I follow all instruction in Google wiki as followed: Open installer, and install taskbar notifier. After the install, press the home button, but DO NOT RESTART THE PHONE YET. SSH to your phone and run the following commands (the first line will yield a few errors, its ok) mv ~/Library/* /private/var/mobile/Library rm -rf ~/Library ln -s /private/var/mobile/Library ~/Library ANY HELP

He ment the icon between the battery and the bluetooth icon. I'm curious too.

To bjlm, that's a headset (bluetooth) icon you will have this if you purchased a bluetooth headset.

iClarified, What's that icon next to the left of the battery icon on the top right hand corner? And how do you get that on the iPhone?
