Hulu App Updated With SharePlay Support

Hulu has released an update to its app that brings Apple SharePlay support, allowing users to stream content with friends and family on FaceTime.

With Hulu you can watch thousands of TV shows and movies, exclusive Originals, past seasons, current episodes, and more. If you're an existing Hulu subscriber, you have the option to watch Live TV for sports, news, and can’t-miss events on the device of your choice. That means you can enjoy all your TV in one place with a personalized plan that works for you—Hulu, Hulu (No Ads), or Hulu +Live TV.

What's New In This Version:
In this release, we are helping spread the Hulu love by introducing SharePlay. With SharePlay, you can watch content from the Hulu streaming library in sync with friends and family over FaceTime. We also launched a feature allowing Live TV users to easily flip between channels during playback. Upgrade to the newest version of the app on your iPhone or iPad to try it out.


SharePlay requires iOS 15.1 or higher. To use the feature, start a FaceTime call then go to the Home Screen and open an app with SharePlay support. Select the stream you'd like to watch, then tap the Play button. You'll now have the option to select Play for Everyone to begin watching with others on the call.
