Apple has released a firmware update for its popular AirTag tracker.
The new firmware version is 2.0.24, build number 2A24e. The previous version was 1.0.301 with a build number of 1A301.
At this time, it's unclear if there are any new features in the update; however, it is moving up from 1.x to 2.x.
You can check your version number using the Find My app. Switch to the Items tab, choose your AirTag from the list, then tap on the name of your AirTag.
If your AirTag needs to be updated, try leaving it next to your iPhone while it's plugged in to charge. You may need to do this overnight. Also note, only 1% of users will get the update today. 10% will get the update on November 17, 25% on November 24, and 100% on December 1.
You can purchase a single AirTag tracker for $27.98 or a four pack for $94.98.
