New Renders Allegedly Reveal iPhone 18 Pro Design With Corner Camera Cutout [Video]

Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech is back with a new video, this time visualizing the stack of rumors surrounding the iPhone 18 Pro. The renders put images to the supply chain chatter we have been tracking for months, showcasing the anticipated design changes along with three potential new colorways: Burgundy, Brown, and Purple.

The most striking change is the move to under-display Face ID. According to Prosser, hiding the sensors beneath the screen will allow Apple to reduce the cutout to a single hole for the front-facing camera. The renders show this camera relocated to the top-left corner of the display, although the Dynamic Island interface is expected to stick around in software.

On the back, the report backs up claims that the iPhone 18 Pro will finally adopt a variable aperture for its main camera. This mechanical system allows the lens to physically control light intake and depth of field, offering distinct advantages over software-based portrait modes. Prosser notes there is a chance this could be exclusive to the larger iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Under the hood, the device is expected to run on the A20 Pro chip and finally make the switch to Apple's own C2 modem. The video also highlights a tweak to the Camera Control button, which reportedly drops capacitive sensing for a simpler pressure-based mechanism. All of this premium hardware is supposedly part of a split launch strategy for 2026, separating the Pro models and the iPhone Fold—which Prosser visualized in a separate report last month—from the standard lineup.

Finally, the report highlights Apple's work on 5G satellite connectivity, a major expansion of the existing Emergency SOS feature. Prosser predicts that by the time this technology is fully implemented across the lineup, Tim Cook will have likely moved on from his role as CEO. While succession planning involving hardware chief John Ternus has reportedly intensified, recent reports from Mark Gurman indicate Cook is unlikely to step down in the immediate future.
