Apple's 'Crease-Free' Foldable iPhone Rumors Visualized in New 3D Renders [Video]

Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech has released a new video showcasing what he claims is the design of Apple's first foldable iPhone. While the video is presented as an exclusive look at the upcoming device, the specifications and design details largely corroborate existing rumors that have circulated through the supply chain over the past year.

The video dubs the device the "iPhone Fold" and targets a 2026 release alongside the iPhone 18 Pro. Prosser highlights a book-style design that opens to reveal a 7.8-inch internal display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. This specific "passport" shape tracks closely with recent reports that Samsung is developing a "Wide Fold" to directly rival Apple's chosen form factor.

A major focus of the video is the lack of a display crease. Prosser claims Apple has achieved this using a metal plate to disperse pressure and liquid metal components in the hinge. That would be consistent with earlier supply chain leaks suggesting Apple is working on a crease-free panel and more durable hinge materials.

The device is described as notably thin, measuring just 9mm closed and 4.5mm unfolded. To achieve that profile, Prosser says Apple is dropping Face ID entirely. Instead, biometric security will reportedly be handled by a Touch ID sensor embedded in the power button, corroborating analyst predictions pointing to side-mounted authentication. Internally, the phone is expected to use high-density batteries and Apple's second-generation C2 modem, with a price estimated between $2,000 and $2,500.

The report arrives as Prosser faces a federal lawsuit filed by Apple in July, which accuses him of a coordinated scheme to steal trade secrets related to iOS 26 from a development iPhone. While Prosser has publicly disputed the company's narrative, specifically denying that he "plotted" to access the device, the litigation highlights the tension surrounding his claims of insider access. Undeterred by the legal battle, this marks his return to discussing Apple's future hardware plans.

Prosser asserts that Apple will streamline its fall 2026 launch to just three models: the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the iPhone Fold. This contradicts other recent supply chain reports that suggest a second-generation iPhone Air is confirmed for the fall release window. However, a streamlined lineup would support analyst theories that Apple is moving toward a split launch schedule to focus purely on high-end hardware in September.
