Apple's Pro Display XDR is seeing a massive price cut today, with a rare discount knocking $1,000 off the high-end reference monitor.
Right now, you can pick up the standard glass model for $3,999, a solid drop from its $4,999 retail sticker.
If you need the nano-texture glass to cut down on glare in bright studios, that model is marked down to $4,999. Woot lists these as new units that come with a one-year Apple warranty.
Even a few years after launch, the hardware specs hold up. You get a massive 32-inch Retina 6K panel that pushes 1,600 nits of peak brightness and sustains 1,000 nits indefinitely thanks to the lattice cooling system on the back. It covers P3 wide color with 10-bit depth and uses 576 full-array local dimming zones to hit a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.
For connectivity, it features a Thunderbolt 3 port capable of 96W host charging and three additional USB-C ports for peripherals. Just remember that the Pro Display XDR does not ship with a stand in the box. You will need to buy the Pro Stand or a VESA mount adapter separately to actually use it.
This sale lands as we keep an eye out for a potential refresh. We have been tracking reports that a next-generation Pro Display XDR is in the works, potentially adding a built-in webcam. A regulatory filing in China also recently exposed an unreleased Apple display, suggesting updated hardware might be coming down the pipe later this year.
