Can I downgrade an iPad 3 from iOS 6 to iOS 5.1.1 without SHSH blobs?

I recently updated my iPad 3 to iOS 6 and would like to downgrade back to iOS 5.1.1. I do not have SHSH blobs saved for the device. Is there any way to restore the firmware using iTunes or other tools without these signatures?

Downgrading an iPad 3 from iOS 6 to iOS 5.1.1 is not possible if you do not have SHSH blobs saved. Apple uses a digital signing process to authorize firmware restores. Once Apple stops signing a specific version, you can only install it using blobs that were captured while that version was active. Since the iPad 3 uses the A5X chip, it lacks the hardware exploits available on older devices that might otherwise allow for a downgrade. Without those blobs, you are limited to the versions Apple is currently signing.

Without the necessary SHSH blobs, there is no way to restore an iPad 3 to an older version of iOS. Apple has stopped signing iOS 5.1.1, and currently, there are no software or hardware exploits for the iPad 3 that allow for a downgrade without those signatures.
