My iPad screen turns on accidentally whenever I touch it, which is draining my battery. How can I turn off this feature so the screen stays black until I press the power button?

To disable the Tap to Wake feature on your iPad, follow these steps:

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap Accessibility in the left-hand sidebar.
3. In the Physical and Motor section, tap on Touch.
4. Locate the Tap to Wake toggle and switch it to the OFF position.

Once disabled, your iPad screen will no longer turn on when you tap the display. You will need to press the Top button or the Home button (if applicable) to wake the device.
