IOS and IPad notifications

HI since about iOS 16 or 15 notifications have not worked correctly. The screen on the lock screen wakes for about ten seconds, I am a slow reader and this is not enough and I cannot find a setting to turn this feature off. I’ve put in about 10 faults with iOS and none of them have been fixed. I’ve emailed Tim cook and no response. How do I stop the lock screen going dark so I can read ll my notifications. I feel like talking to a brick wall at times with apple.
