I have a jailbroken iPad 2 Wi-Fi running iOS 4.3.3 and I need to upgrade to at least iOS 5.1 to use newer apps. Cydia shows that I have SHSH blobs saved for iOS 4.3.3, 4.3.5, 5.0.1, 5.1.1, and 6.0.1. How do I save these blobs and perform the upgrade?

To upgrade your iPad 2 to a firmware version that Apple is no longer signing, you must use the SHSH blobs you have saved. Since you see SHSH blobs for iOS 5.1.1 and 6.0.1 in Cydia, you should use a tool like Redsn0w or iFaith to fetch those blobs from the Cydia servers and save them to your computer. Once saved, you can use Redsn0w to create a stitched IPSW file that includes your unique blobs. You then need to put your iPad into Pwned DFU mode and use iTunes to restore using the custom IPSW. Keep in mind that for the iPad 2, moving to iOS 5.1.1 or 6.0.1 is often preferred over the latest available iOS 9.3.5 for better performance on older hardware.
