Hoe voer je een Untethered Jailbreakuit van je iPod Touch 4G (Windows) [5.0.1]

Dit zijn de instructies hoe je een untethered jailbreak van je iPod Touch 4G op iOS 5.0.1uitvoerd met gebruikmaking van RedSn0w voor Windows. De Mac versie van deze tutorial is here.

Als je een lager versie wil jailbreaken vind je de tutorial hier.

Stap één
Maak een folder aan op je bureaublad genoemd Pwnage

Download de laatste RedSn0w van hier en plaats dit in de Pwnage folder. Hetzelfde geldt voor de firmware, download de 5.0.1 firmware van hier en plaats dit in de Pwnage folder. (Note:Je hoeft niet de versie 5.0.1 firmware te downloaden als je ipod al op versie iOS 5.0.1draait)

Extract de RedSn0w zip file door dubbel te klikken.

Stap Twee: (Skip dit als je al op iOS 5.0.1 draait)
Connect je iPod aan je computer en open iTunes.

Selecteer je iPod van de lijst van toestellen aan de linkerzijde. Druk nu op Shift Shift en klik op de Restore knop. Restore heeft de voorkeur als je geen troep op je iPod wil.

Blader naar de Pwnage folder op je desktop en selecteer de 5.0.1 firmware ipsw. Klik op de Openen knop om verder te gaan.

iTunes zal nu je iPod vorozien van de nieuwe firmware.

Stap Drie
Open de redsn0w programma van de redsn0w folder die we eerder hebben uitgepakt.

**Windows 7 gebruikers moeten de programma redsn0w uitvoeren als een administrator of dit programma in Windows Vista compatibility maken. Dit kan je doen door op je rechter muisknop te klikken, dan naar eigenschappen te selecteren en vervolgensde optie selecteren in het menu.

Stap Vier
Als RedSn0w is geopend klik op de Jailbreak knop

Stap Vijf
Plug je iPod in je computer en weet zeker dat deze UIT is en klik dan de Volgende button

Stap Zes
RedSn0w zal je nu in stappen begeleiden om je IPod in DFU mode te krijgen. Je kan meer uitleg over de DFU mode hier krijgen

Hou de Home knop en de Power knop 10 seconds ingedrukt.

Laat de Power knop los en hou de Home knop ingedrukt totdat RedSn0w de IP od gedetecteerd heeft.

Stap Zeven
Je iPod zal nu rebooten

Stap Acht
RedSn0w is nu klaar om de jailbreak uit te voeren.

Stap Negen
Selecteer Cydia van de optie lijst en klik op Next.

Stap Tien
Je iPod zal opnieuw rebooten en RedSn0w zal beginnen mt de nieuwe RAM Disk en Kernel te uoploaden.

Stap Elf
Wanneer dit klaar is zal RedSn0w aangeven dat deze klaar is. Wanneer je IPod klaar is met rebooten (5 minuten ongeveer) is deze gejailbreakt met Cydia op de SpringBoard.

I am currently on 5.0.1 which I jailbroke using this method a year ago. Now I would like to do it again just so I can "Factory Reset" but still keep jailbreak. The only option I found was to restore the phone via itunes and then jailbreak again. The problem with that is...restoring with itunes will give me the latest 6.1 OS which I don't want. Any advice??

hi i have an ipod 5.0.1 and i can go in DFU mode but Redsn0w wont detect that im in it..can some one please help am i doing something wrong?

Help, I´ve been trying to run th redsnow and everything goes right until the system tries to reboot the ipod, then windows shows a message saying redsnow stop running and turns it off. I´m running the redsnow as an administrator and with windows vista compatibilty. What may I be doing wrong?

Finally it worked. I had to manually select the IPSW file in the settings. For SHSH error telling you that the IPSW file cannot be downloaded this is the solution

Mine didn't worked. I have a white iPod Touch 4g 8GB The error said something about SHSH blobs. It occurred while holding the home button after releasing the power button

Does it need the 4.2.1 ipsw file. I saw a shortcut with the redsnow program that needs the 4.2.1 ipsw file or should the filename be changed?

This does not work. I have an ipod 4G produced in DEC 2011 and after running Redsn0w and doing the DFU it installs limera1n and stuff then on is just stuck on rebooting. I tried it with 2 different ipod touch 4g both DEC 2011 production and it is in admin and also vista ( with or without) Never works. My phone reboots but redsn0w still says rebooting and stays stuck like that. DOES NOT WORK not on new models I suppose.

i had the same problem but i figured it out after fiddling without. So instead of just clickin th jailbreak button, click the extras and the select "manaully select ipsw" Make sure you have the ipod 5.0.1 file downloaded and select it. It should then say this file shall now be used for the rest of the jailbreak. Click the back button to go back to the jailbreak button and now click on the jailbreak button, and it should work.

I tried jailbreakin the iPod Touch 4g, and redsnow crashed in the middle, requiring me to restore the iPod.

to me precise it has rebooted and my ipod touch 4gis ON. P.S. its on 5.0.1
