Independent developer Daniel Wetzel has announced the release and immediate availability of Paper Pile 1.3 for iPad devices. Paper Pile creates virtual newspapers looking almost exactly as their printed prototypes. It is the user's choice which content to read. The app uses news feed subscriptions to compose the user's personal newspaper. Besides reading printed daily newspapers, many people make use of RSS feeds containing topics they are really interested in. Paper Pile combines both media to a new reading experience.
With update 1.3 the user can choose from three different themes to customize the look of the newspaper. The completely re-worked text engines creates beautiful articles increasing the realistic feel. For later reading, sending links to Instapaper is now supported.
Feature Overview: * Read and manage RSS feeds * three different themes * Realistic rendering as a printed newspaper * Auto-discovery of feed address, integrated feed browser to find feeds * Instapaper support * Small preview images in order to simplify navigation * No Internet connection needed to read on the move * English and German localization
Pricing and Availability: Paper Pile 1.3 is priced at $2.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the News category.
