Apple Shows HomeView's FaceTime, Siri AI, and Home Controls in Two New Videos [Video]

Apple has released two videos showing how HomeView works around the house, from hands-free FaceTime calls to music playback and smart home controls. One is a quick product tour; the other spends more time with the display in everyday use.

The new HomeView recognizes up to six people and presents a personalized screen for each. In the shorter video, Apple shows its 7-inch display switching between faces and home controls, while the longer film follows people using FaceTime, sending messages, and asking Siri AI for help with tasks and information.

The videos also show the display handling music, podcasts, and TV, with Spatial Audio on the tabletop model. For smart home use, the screen can show a visitor at the door or adjust connected lights. Those controls require compatible HomeKit or Matter accessories, sold separately.

Siri AI is available in beta in HomeView software 27.2. Personal-context requests require a paired Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad with Siri AI enabled in a supported language. HomeView is available to pre-order now and is scheduled to arrive November 13.
