Blue Crowbar Software has announced the release and immediate availability of TwitExport 2, the successor to iPhoto2Twitter and Aperture2Twitter. TwitExport is a plugin for iPhoto and Aperture that lets you send tweets and photos to Twitter from within your favorite Mac photo application.
With TwitExport 2, the popular iPhoto2Twitter and Aperture2Twitter plugins have been merged into one product. The new name was required to comply with Twitter's updated trademark policy. On the outside, the new plugin has been redesigned to become even easier to use. Under the hood, support has been added for Twitter's new OAuth secure authentication system. The biggest advantage of that is that the user's password for Twitter no longer has to be shared with the 3rd party photo sites.
Key features: * Sends your tweets from within iPhoto or Aperture * Includes the selected photo or movie with your tweet * Includes support for Mobypicture and TwitPic * Can send multiple photos at once * Supports 64-bit when used with Aperture 3 * Uses Twitter's secure OAuth authentication
Pricing and Availability: TwitExport 2 is available immediately. A license for one user costs $5.90 (USD) and is valid for use with both iPhoto and Aperture. The upgrade is free for all registered users of iPhoto2Twitter or Aperture2Twitter. A free trial version of the software can be downloaded from the Blue Crowbar website.
