New Opportunities for Mac

Nulana has announced the release of NuKit 1.0, their new productivity and timesaving toolkit for Mac OS X. This neat application makes working with Mac easier, faster and even more fun! It harmoniously combines different utilities as launcher, tweaker, shortcut editor, window mover and advanced calculator. NuKit was offered for public beta testing since June till July 2010 and now it is available in full version.

NuKit means a glade of Rock Jasmine in Finnish. From now it also means a field of opportunities for Mac owners: launcher, tweaker, shortcut editor, window mover and advanced calculator. It is typical for Mac users to purchase multiple different applications for these purposes, but NuKit is offered as single easy-to-use and integrated toolkit.

Launcher is to find and open applications faster and easier. It is enough to type first letters of the application name, for example "e" to receive a list of apps starting with in alphabetic order. Moreover, it is possible to assign to eBay search command (for example), then will open Ebay with the search string . And finally you'll see a value of mathematical constant e with nine digits after the decimal point. By the way, this advanced calculator knows about mathematical functions and displays results in decimal, binary, octal and hexadecimal.

Tweaker gives access to hidden Dock appearance settings, Finder preferences and other system settings. For example it is possible to return 2D look of the Dock or make Finder window display location of folder with possibility of navigation to each level. With Shortcut Editor Mac users can assign any application to system wide shortcut and run it in a second.

NuKit also improves the windows management. With NuKit it's possible to move and resize any window mouse pointer is currently over. NuKit supports two- or three-finger gestures on multitouch trackpad or new Apple Magic trackpad. Standard Zoom button doesn't zoom windows to full screen. With NuKit Real Zoom Mac users now can maximize windows to whole screen with a click of the mouse. With Real Close it is possible to close the application completely by closing one of its windows.
