Wallpaper With User Customization Options

Velvet Rock Apps has introduced Screen Pimp 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch, their wallpaper backgrounds app with user customisation options. The app includes 48 exclusive wallpapers which have been built from the ground up and many can be customised by the user using text or images from their inbuilt photo library. Screen Pimp has a simple menu system which allows users to choose from a number of options depending on how they arrange their icons on their screen. Menus available include 'Full Icon Screen', '12 Icon Screen', '8 Icon Screen', 'Lock Screen' and 'Instructions'.

There are many iOS wallpaper apps for the iPhone and iPod touch, but it is the fact that the wallpapers have been built from the ground up, allow customisation and work around the users icons that make Screen Pimp a standout. After choosing one of the options on the main screen the user is presented with 4 thumbnail wallpaper backgrounds, further wallpapers can be seen by tapping the arrow buttons at the bottom of the screen.

Users are immediately aware of which wallpapers can be customised by a small icon next to the thumbnail image. Tapping a thumbnail image will show the wallpaper full screen with further options available to the user, 'Save Image', 'Back', 'Pimp It', 'Show Icons'. By tapping the 'Show Icons' button, users will see an overlay of icons on the screen giving them a preview of how the wallpaper might look before saving it. The 'Pimp It' button if available allows users to add details such as an image from their photo library or add their own text. The save button will save the wallpaper to the users photo library including any text or photos they added thus allowing them to use it as a home screen background or lock screen background.
