Apple may be planning to add 3G connectivity to the next iPod touch, according to a report from AppleSpot.nl.
It will work just like the iPad; you get a 3G enabled simcard from your provider and put that in you iPod Touch. Apple's choice of bringing 3G to the iPod Touch isn't all that weird, if it's true of course. Question remains how the providers will react to this, since the use of for example Skype will skyrocket.
9to5Mac suggests that Apple could even take this further and turn the iPod touch into a cheap iPhone for the masses by adding "the GPS/3G baseband chips and some phone wiring and a solid 3 megapixel camera and you are 99 percent of the way to an iPhone lite".
It's import to note that there is little evidence to verify these reports; however, it has been rumored for quite some time that Apple will do something to address the huge prepaid market.
Well, have 3G, and with the iCloud and iMessage, then the iPod Touch also can send message, and if only could find a way to put a microphone on it, they could turn it into some sort of phone... it is totally a like a cheaper version of the iPhone, or should named as iPad Mini?
Oh, amazing and crazy!

In other words, "this rumor has been around for many years and has no actual credibility." iClarified delivers once again.
