As Tim Cook takes the stage at D10 in an interview, Tim spoke briefly on Apple and the TV. While Steve Jobs loved to refer to the Apple TV as a "hobby" for Apple, it seems as if that idea has now shifted. While Cook obviously wouldn't state Apple is working on a TV, he did hint that they are investing some resources into that area.
I would say most people would say this is not an area in their life that they're pleased with. And we're going to keep looking at it.
He also commented on some of the content available for the current Apple TV, and agreed to the statement that "they're not doing everything they could do" in terms of content.
Apple has also sold nearly 2.7 million Apple TVs in just the first few months of this year.
