A new photo claiming to be of the next generation Apple Mac mini has surfaced online.
The photo shows the rear of a Mac mini with 5 USB ports instead of 4, mini DVI and mini DisplayPort connectors, and FireWire 800 instead of 400.
AppleInsider comments that this is the second picture of a Mac mini seen by AppleInsider with such a port makeup, the first of which we were asked not to publish. While we cannot vouch for the authenticity of this new photo, it shows a Mac mini that is identical in every way to the system in the unpublished photo, which was said to be a prototype from last fall.

How many ports can you squeeze into the back of that thing?!? Hopefully they're working on keeping it cooler with practically no airflow in the back. (Yes, I know that the current design also vents all around the bottom of the case.)

Damn, so looks like your gonna need to go buy an Apple display also. Typical!

t11chb: You're right! And that will take away one of the best features of the Mini - the fact that you can use your old PC monitor (or easily hook it up to a TV). Wow. That's pretty much sucks. =(

It's got a mini DVI port so you can use any DVI monitor as long as you have a mini DVI to DVI adaptor.
With that adaptor you have the same connection options as the original mini

Still suck that we'd need to buy adapters, also would need to see if you could get an adapter for my Firewire Camera.
