Apple Expands OS X Maverick and iOS 7 Testing to Some Non-Developers

9to5mac reports that Apple has expanded OS X Maverick testing from engineers and developers to Genius Bar and Apple retail employees.

You are invited to participate in the pre-release OS X Mavericks seed program. Participation, including submitting feedback, is completely voluntary and not an expectation of your job. If you accept, we will provide you with a pre-release version of OS X Mavericks to install and use. You will get to preview all of the exciting new features like iBooks, Maps, Calendar, Safari, iCloud Keychain, Multiple Displays, Notifications, Finder Tabs, Tags, and much more! You should use OS X Mavericks only your personal computer and on your personal time. Apple will provide you with ways to submit feedback on your experiences with OS X Mavericks, should you choose to do so. Apple also asks that you use future builds of OS X Mavericks as they are made available. The responses from prior seed programs have been overwhelmingly positive. Thank you to everyone who participated!

In addition, Apple is also preparing a 10.8.5 release for Mountain Lion with no timeframe given on the exact release date, or what it brings (other than bug fixes).

iOS 7 is also being expanded to local Cupertino residents to gauge reactions on the new design. Sources say that Apple is holding on campus sessions with locals to receive feedback on the new release. It still is not clear how Apple is picking these locals, but it is most likely family members of Apple employees.

Mine have tabs. Have you tried hitting command + t? Maybe your tab button wasn't dragged onto the toolbar?

Or, go to the File menu and select "New Tab". I have a feeling you did not even look to see if this was available, or you are using a really really old version.
