Apple TV Renews 'Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars' for Season 3

Apple TV has renewed 'Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars' for an eight-episode third season, following the season two finale. The fine-dining docuseries is hosted by Topjaw's Jesse Burgess and executive produced by Gordon Ramsay.

The series follows chefs through the yearlong Michelin Guide season as they work to earn their first star, hold on to an existing rating, or move up to a second or third star. Access to the kitchens and Michelin awards lets viewers follow those efforts through to the result, including the possibility of losing a star.

Its second season featured restaurants including three-star Evvai, Gareth Ward's two-star Ynyshir in rural Wales, and California's Troubadour, which operates as a sandwich shop during the day before becoming a one-star fine-dining restaurant at night. Apple hasn't announced which restaurants will appear in season three.

"Behind every restaurant is a very personal journey," Burgess said, adding that a Michelin Star can represent years of sacrifice, obsession, and hard work for the chefs the series follows. "It's a privilege to be able to tell these stories, and I'm absolutely thrilled that we get to do it all again for a third season."

Studio Ramsay Global, a Fox Entertainment company, produces the series for Apple TV. Ramsay, Lisa Edwards, Lorraine Charker-Phillips, and Jill Greenwood serve as executive producers, with James Callum as series director.

The first two seasons are streaming globally on Apple TV. A premiere date for season three has not been announced.
