Apple has filed a trademark for its new 'flat' iCloud icon that is consistent with the design of iOS 7, notes PatentlyApple.
On July 10, 2013, the US Patent & Trademark Office published Apple's latest trademark application for the new "iCloud" logo/icon that's consistent with Apple's new iOS 7 flat design. The new application under number 86003195 was first filed in Jamaica
Apple also filed for the new green Facetime icon last month. Today the company also filed for the same icon in black and white.
The trademark filing likely indicates that this icon is set for iOS 7 and won't change.

The only difference in the icon is the square. No shiny part.

I'm still not crazy about some/most of the new icons, but I have to say that overall the look and feel of iOS 7 has grown on me, I like it a lot more than the clunky and heavy original style... it was awesome when it first came out, but it did look very dated after so many years. The new look is more consistent with the new products, I think.
