FireCore Updates Seas0nPass, aTV Flash to Jailbreak Apple TV 2 on 5.3

FireCore has updated Seas0nPass and aTV Flash to Jailbreak Apple TV 2 on Apple TV firmware 5.3. Apple TV firmware 5.3 is equivalent to iOS 6.1.4, released back in June.

Today we're excited to announce the release of new versions of aTV Flash (black) and Seas0nPass that allow for an untethered jailbreak of Apple TV 5.3 (ATV2 only). Big thanks goes out to @iH8sn0w, @winocm, and @SquiffyPwn for their help with the new version of Seas0nPass. Additionally, there has been some encouraging progress made on Apple TV 6.0+ thanks to our friends @evad3rs and @nitoTV, and we hope to have more news available soon.

What's new in 2.4?
● Added support for untethered Apple TV 5.3
● Improved reliability of installation process
● Improved diagnostic reporting
● Other various fixes and improvements

Those who are not on 5.3 should not worry, as Apple is still signing Apple TV firmware 5.3! You can download that firmware from here. The team is however working on getting the untether working on the latest Apple TV firmware (6.0.2), but it is proving to be a challenge. Please note this is ONLY for the Apple TV 2nd generation (720p version).

A year later and I guess you're still working on a untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.0.2 for ATV2?

Doesn't seem to work now. Failed miserably. Tried the umpteenth time I'm so dizzy. Got the ATV2 6.0.2, was so hyped about JB but I feel so discouraged now. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Thus this does not work ATV after JB is lagy and unresponsive it sucks, updates in NITO dont work anyway it sucks.

Works great. Has anyone had any success saving their SHSH 5.3 blobs? Tinyumbrella seems to not do this (according to its logs it isn't trying).

It fails during the JB process. It needs the ATV2 to be connected before starting to build the IPSW. After putting in DFU mode, it uploads iBxx files and says "failed to enter DFU" mode.

Anyone knows if there is anyway to JB the ATV 2 running 6.0.2. I would really appreciate it. I understand that there's nothing official yet but who knows. I'm sure some geeks have found the twist :)

its easy dude just plug it to your mac or pc wit micro USB cable und run Season pass it will down graded automatically to 5.3 and jail break it than you can run ATV Flash Black 2.4 thats is flawless and easy like always.
