Apple and Samsung Agree to Mediation in US Patent Dispute

Apple and Samsung have agreed to both attend a mediation session that will be held on or before February 19 to discuss the upcoming patent dispute, reports Reuters.
Apple CEO Tim Cook and Samsung CEO Oh-Hyun Kwon will both attend a session with in-house lawyers, according to court document revealed Wednesday. Both legal teams reportedly met on January 6 to "discuss settlement opportunities."
If the two companies agree to a settlement, then they do not have to go through the entire court process which is scheduled for March. The two CEOs/companies have previously met to discuss other settlement talks, but discussions usually fall through as demands are usually not met.
Neither company returned messages seeking for comment.
I really hope Apples get like 3-4 billions of dollars from Samsung.
Of course those dollars will ultimately come from the pockets of all Apple fanboys as the price increase for Apple parts like screens/memory and other essentials parts of the iPhone and iPad (even some parts of Macbook X).
