Throughout the next few weeks, select states will be hosting a 'sales tax holiday' often referred to as 'tax free weekend' and Apple is making sure customers in those states take advantage of the offer. The company is sending out emails to those in the select states, letting them know that they could get their favorite Apple products without paying sales tax.
If your state offers a tax holiday this summer, you can buy select Apple products without paying sales tax.* When shopping online, sales tax will appear during checkout, but you’ll see the correct tax amount on your email order confirmation.
Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Mexico, South Carolina and Tennessee will be participating in 'tax free' holidays, so if you live in those states, be sure to take advantage of the discount (as well as the back to school promotion!)
We should note that each state has does have different rules and requirements regarding which products qualify, so make sure you double check the dates and rules before heading to your local Apple Store!
