StatusDuck is an app that moves your OS X Dock into the menu bar.

The app helps you save screen space and lets you easily manage your applications without using keyboard shortcuts.

● Instantly see launched applications. Easily terminate an application with one click without the need to use Cmd-Q, or going through menu items
● Pin your favorite folders to your Menu Bar
(Drop the folder on StatusDuck while holding Command key down)
● Switch between applications or rotate the active window of the front application with one click. No need to use Cmd-Tab or Cmd-~
● Hide the frontmost application with one click
● Drop support
● Resize and scroll when there is not enough space on the menu bar
● Make frequently used applications sticky or hide applications that you dont want to see

The UI layout reminds me of Android mobile devices.

Actually it's not for mobile devices at all. It's for Macs.

I meant by looks because everytime you get a notification, it tells you at the top right in the bar, on apple devices it covers the status bar and part of the notification center drops down. A bit of a difference there.

Maybe useful if neither your dock nor menu bar has many icons on it. For me there is no way they'd all fit on the menu bar.

I tend to stay away from any type of tweak that I have to learn to use differently. It's not that hard to use the dock and it can be hidden. But it's a neat idea indeed.
