Posted September 29, 2014 at 10:45pm by iClarified
Apple has released OS X Bash Update 1.0 to address the 'Shellshock' vulnerability found in UNIX Shell. Researchers discovered the shellshock vulnerability last week, which enabled hackers to execute malicious code.

This update fixes a security flaw in the bash UNIX shell.

For more information on the security content of this update, see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1222

Apple noted that most users by default were safe from the exploit, however if you configured advanced UNIX services on your machine, then you should apple the patch immediately.
