T-Mobile CEO on iPhone 6 Bendgate: This Thing Doesn't F***ing Bend [Video]

Posted October 5, 2014 at 3:53pm by iClarified
T-Mobile CEO John Legere responded to questions about the recent Bendgate controversy surrounding the release of the iPhone 6 in an interview at GeekWire Summit 2014. Legere described the reports as "horse****", saying "this thing doesn't f***ing bend."

-----
Interviewer: "You got an iPhone 6 Plus over there and I note that it is perfectly straight."

[Legere tries to sit on iPhone 6 Plus]

Interviewer: You gonna bend it?

Legere: "That is such horse****. You know, listen, what the **** did you need to see? The video of the guy that's doing this. If you could have seen his face he probably would have been purple. The veins were coming out of his fingers and the thing moves a little bit. Are you ****ing me? I mean, when's the last time you took any other, this is an amazing super computer in your hand. What the **** are you putting it in your pants and sitting on it for. You know, seriously.

You know what, those nine people that sat on their phones, first of all they need jeans that fit them a little better, cause if your jeans are cutting your phone. What idiot? Give me a break. Take your laptop, you know, do handstands on it, throw it against the wall. That's a bull****. This thing doesn't f***ing bend.

Let's try it. Did anyone bend one in year?

Interviewer: Oh, you can't get one. You don't know if it's going to bend.

Let me help you about bendgate or whatever it was. It's not slowing down demand. The demand for these devices in the last few weeks is unbelievable.

Added Bonus: The 6 Plus also works great as an ad-hoc rolling tray (in addition to being an awesome computer/communicator)

Maybe iClarified censors your comments because you're unable to make your point without homophobic remarks. Try expressing yourself intelligently and without offensive words, and see if you're still censored.

..what a lead!...Kudos!...Rocked & Really Rolled..and still Rollin! Thank you sir, Jn L. (just to let u know..it made sense back then when GeoHotz (2007) did the uncarrier, and only TMobile was there to "simplify" the works and proved that it really worked and had become very useful to me. I had never looked back, still using the Original (2G) iPhone on your network!..very much obliged.

Bendgate never put me off buying the 6 Plus. And after Consumer Reports debunked it altogether I gave it no further thought. I have one now and it did not bend in my pocket and doesn't seem likely to do so without being subjected to forces that I would never expose it to.

Can people explain something to me? Why such animosity between Samsung and Apple owners? They both make excellent hardware. Samsung's only problem is that they use that POS Android OS.

The folks at iClarified seem to have a hard time building an app that works as well as it ought to. It took them weeks longer to get it OS8 compatible than most other apps, and there really was no excuse for them not having had it iOS8 ready before the new OS went public. That's why they have betas..so developers can make sure their apps will work with the new OS. Maybe iClarified only has one amateur programmer working on their app. That might explain its poor quality.

It's about time someone non-bias stood up for the iPhone 6 Plus. I'm surprise there isn't a Slipgate, because the new phones are so slippery without a case.

Non bias LOL, apple is screwing them by NOT selling the Tmobile version at launch and only selling the locked versions in store now ! Tmobile shouldn't be defending apple so much !

T-Mobile has been on board with Apple since day one in 2007 as one of the three global launch partners of the original iPhone along with ATT and O2. Phones are locked at the carriers' request to protect subsidies and carrier investment in the devices they sell to consumers and businesses.

To the person that said Tmobile got there iPhone 6, 4 hours later on launch day. I just want to enlighten you, that's an untrue comment. On launch day I was first, yes first in line at a Tmobile store and I got one with no problems. No long lines either most people slept on T-Mobile on September 19th, however by the time it was noon and word got around T-Mobile was a game changer if you ask me. Thanks got tired of overpriced AT&T:(

Online online Apple didn't put on sale the 6 until they sold out to the carriers in contract phones first Then they put up the tmobile phones with the 3-4 week wait ! , Right now if you go to apple for a phone they will sell you a Sprint, ATT, Verizon carrier locked but you will be turned away for the TMOBILE

Tech Jedi - October 6, 2014 at 7:17pm
I was at Apple on launch day. I got an AT&T iPhone 6 for myself and an unlocked T-mobile iPhone 6 for my brother. They sold unlocked phones at Apple at launch. T-mobile was the last major carrier to get Apple products. Apple is still loyal to AT&T when it comes to inventory. Apple could care less about any carrier because its products are selling without them promoting Apple or not.
