AT&T Announces Rollover Data for Mobile Share Customers

Following T-Mobile Data Stash program, AT&T has announced that it will rollover unused data for Mobile Share customers. AT&T says any data unused will be sharable for one month after.

We’re proud to offer Rollover Data to our new and current Mobile Share Value customers. With Rollover Data, unused plan data rolls over for one month. What’s more, if you’re on a Mobile Share Value plan, you don’t even have to do anything to get it— Rollover Data is automatically part of your plan. Learn more about Mobile Share Value plans.

If you have our 15GB AT&T Mobile Share Value plan and only use 10GB, you’ll roll over 5GB (your Rollover Data balance) to the next month for a total of 20GB to be used within the next month. There’s no cap on the amount of unused plan data within a given month that’s eligible for rollover. However, Rollover Data automatically expires after one billing period, and unused Rollover Data won’t carry over to the next month.

“Rollover Data is an added benefit of being an AT&T Mobile Share Value customer and it’s just another way that we’re saying thanks to our more than 50 million plus Mobile Share Value subscribers,” said Glenn Lurie, President and CEO, AT&T Mobility. “We’re providing even more value and flexibility, and the best part is it’s simple, shareable and easy to track for our customers. All Mobile Share Value customers get this automatically.”

Unlike T-Mobile's Data Stash program, which carries unused data for 12 months, AT&T's program only rollovers unused data for one month. AT&T says customer will use their plan allotment first, before using their rollover data.

AT&T says rollover data will automatically be applied to all plans starting January 25 free of charge. Legacy Mobile Share Plans and other older data plans are not eligible for rollover data.
