Apple has expanded its Apple Manufacturing Academy with a new virtual curriculum, giving small and medium-sized businesses across the United States free access to manufacturing training that was previously limited to in-person sessions. The online program lets companies learn advanced production techniques directly from Apple experts at their own pace.
The initiative is part of Apple's broader plan to invest $600 billion in the U.S. economy over the next four years. It builds on the Detroit-based academy that opened in August with Michigan State University. Since launch, more than 80 businesses from states including Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Utah have received hands-on guidance through the program.
Starting today, companies can enroll in virtual courses covering automation, predictive maintenance, quality control optimization, and machine learning with vision. Apple is also offering professional development modules on communication and presentation skills, giving participants tools to strengthen both their technical and leadership capabilities.
"At Apple, we believe in the power of American ingenuity, and we're proud to be delivering even more options to support small- and medium-sized companies across the country," said Sabih Khan, Apple's chief operating officer. "By bringing the Apple Manufacturing Academy curriculum online, we're opening the door for even more businesses and workers to build cutting-edge expertise, helping fuel U.S. competitiveness and support the growth of advanced manufacturing nationwide."
Apple says today's launch represents only the first phase of the online curriculum, with more training materials planned as the program grows. Businesses interested in enrolling can visit the academy's website to get started.
