Apple has provided developers with the fourth betas of watchOS 26.4, tvOS 26.4, and visionOS 26.4. The new test builds arrive on the heels of today's iOS and iPadOS updates.
This testing cycle has delivered a handful of practical changes for Apple TV and Vision Pro users. Earlier in the tvOS beta phase, Apple stripped the legacy iTunes Movies and TV Shows apps from the Home Screen, pushing users to rely entirely on the main Apple TV app. The company also included a Continuous Audio Connection toggle to help stop audio dropouts and popping issues when switching formats on external receivers.
For the headset, visionOS 26.4 adds backend support for the new HLS video podcasts format. This allows the Apple Podcasts app to handle adaptive streaming and dynamic ad insertion.
The watchOS 26.4 cycle hasn't revealed much in the way of visual changes. It appears primarily focused on under-the-hood refinements following the recent public rollout of watchOS 26.3.
Apple hasn't published specific release notes outlining what is fixed in today's builds, but later betas usually center on patching bugs found earlier in the testing period. We're installing the new software now and will update if any major changes stand out.
Developers can download the visionOS and tvOS updates directly through the Software Update menu in System Settings. The watchOS update needs to be initiated through the Watch app on a paired iPhone.
