Apple Expands Redesigned Health App to More Languages in iOS 27.3 Beta

Apple is expanding language support for its redesigned Health app, bringing Apple Intelligence-powered insights, Health Age, and at-home movement evaluations to more users. The update adds global English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, and Vietnamese.

Three iPhone Health app screens showing sleep insights, Health Age, and cardio fitness information.

The redesigned app organizes daily health information in an Insights tab, with summaries covering heart health, sleep, readiness, fitness, vitals, and cycle tracking. A For You section tailors recommendations to a person's habits, such as suggesting changes to a wind-down routine after several nights of interrupted sleep. Educational videos and articles featuring clinical experts accompany the data.

For longer-term tracking, a Longevity tab brings together metrics spanning heart health, sleep, mental wellbeing, movement, metabolic health, hearing, and nutrition. Its Health Age feature uses Apple Watch data, including VO2 max, resting heart rate, sleep, and heart rate variability, to show how a person's body is tracking relative to their chronological age. Users can also incorporate laboratory results such as A1c and LDL cholesterol.

At-home movement evaluations use an iPhone camera and Apple Watch to assess flexibility, strength, balance, movement mechanics, and VO2 max, with real-time audio and visual feedback. Apple says the evaluations use on-device vision-based AI models developed with clinical experts and run entirely on the device, with no video recorded, stored, or shared.

The redesigned experience requires an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad running the latest software, and some features are exclusive to iPhone. Health Age requires an Apple Watch, while the test for estimating VO2 max requires an Apple Watch, AirPods Pro 3, or a third-party heart-rate-sensing device. Some features are restricted to users 18 and older, and availability varies by region and language.

The redesigned Health app is available in today's iOS 27.3 developer beta and will roll out publicly as a free software update later this year. Additional languages are planned.
