Apple is bringing its Fitness+ service to 28 new markets this month, marking the platform's largest expansion since its debut five years ago. The rollout starts December 15 in regions including Chile, Hong Kong, India, the Netherlands, Singapore, Taiwan, and others, with Japan set to join early next year.
To support the expansion, Apple is introducing digital dubbing for the first time. Hundreds of workouts and meditations will feature generated Spanish and German voiceovers based on the Fitness+ trainers' actual vocal profiles. Japanese dubbing will follow when the service launches in Japan. Users can choose their preferred language from the audio controller on devices running iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, and tvOS 26.1 or later.
The service is also adding a dedicated K-Pop music genre available across all workout types, joining existing categories like Upbeat Anthems, Latest Hits, Hip-Hop/R&B, and Latin Grooves. Apple has updated its Artist Spotlight series as well, with new playlists from artists including Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, BTS, Selena Gomez, and Coldplay.
Apple highlighted how Fitness+ works with its newest hardware. Users can see heart rate, calories, Activity rings, and other real-time metrics onscreen using Apple Watch or the new AirPods Pro 3, which feature built-in heart rate sensing. Jay Blahnik, Apple's vice president of Fitness Technologies, said these integrations give users "unmatched motivation" during their workouts. His team was recently moved under Eddy Cue's Services division, aligning Fitness+ more closely with Apple's broader content and subscription strategy.
With this expansion, Apple Fitness+ will be available in 49 countries and regions. The service costs $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year and supports Family Sharing for up to five people.
