Monster, which helped design the original Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, is suing Beats Electronics, and co-founders Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine. Beats was acquired last year by Apple.
Monster claims that Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine both stole the technology behind Monster headphones when the two companies worked together. The suit also claims the two conspired to get rid of Monster and worked to damage the Monster reputation.
The suit, filed in San Mateo (Calif.) County Superior Court, charges that the Beats co-founders concealed the role of Monster and Lee in designing and engineering the headphone line, as well as educating them about engineering, manufacturing, distributing and selling the headphones that Monster and Lee invented.
Oh wait now they sue just because these guys went with Apple now they decide to sue. What a coincidence right? Monster can sue my balls too because I call them Monster and have a tattoo to prove it. While they are at it they can lick and count the pubes.
Honestly the quality and design of beats headphones is not that complex. There are plenty of headphones out there with more complex technology and quality. It was the marketing technique that was used. Dr. Dre being a celebrity/producer and engineer put customers in the mindset that they would achieve the same sound of Dr. Dre through these headphones. You can sell a bag of marbles to a person if you marketed right.
sounds entirely a possibility. Why would two people who were just technical flunkies in life be able to design such a complex product. Theft is the common way. Go Monster.
