China Unicom Denies Buying 5 Million iPhones

China Unicom has denied a report that it purchased 1.5 billion worth of iPhone handsets, according to The Street.

"Talks between us and Apple have been going on for some time, but no agreement has been reached yet," said Unicom spokesman Yi Difei. "There are all kinds of possibilities.There is no particular timetable for the talks."

"The report is not true," Yi said.


Apple has been in talks with China Unicom for some time; however, no official agreement has been announced.
