Parasol has released Records 1.0, an app for iPhone and iPod touch for finding information on music quickly. Designed to match the iPhone user experience closely, Records is a great tool for music shoppers and enthusiasts. When shopping for new or used records, a turntable or CD player may not be available. But to save money, one wants to know more about the record than what it says on the cover. Using the popular and huge Discogs online database, Records finds extensive information on millions of records quickly.
"I love Discogs but the site was not very good to use on the iPhone's small screen", said Johan Halin, developer of Records. "I wanted a user experience suited for the iPhone, and Records provides the solution."
Feature Highlights: * Uses the huge Discogs.com database * Very fast, even with GPRS/EDGE * Powerful search * Open release info page in Safari for Discogs community functions
Pricing and Availability: Records 1.0 for iPhone is only $1.99 USD (1.59 Euro) and available exclusively through Apple's iTunes App Store. Promotional codes for press reviewers can be obtained upon request.
