Apple Designates Original Apple TV and Other Devices Obsolete Ahead of September Event

Posted August 28, 2015 at 9:41pm by iClarified
Apple is designating the original Apple TV, several iPods, and other devices as obsolete on September 8th, one day before its big press event.

The original Apple TV, Apple LED Cinema Display (24-inch), Apple Cinema Display (30-inch DVI Early 2007), Mac mini (Late 2009), iPod nano (5th), iPod shuffle (3rd), iPod touch (2nd and 3rd), iPad classic, and iPod nano (3rd) will all be classified as either vintage or obsolete in Asia-Pacific, Canada, Europe, Japan, Latin America, the United States, and Apple Retail Stores.

Notably, the change takes place just before Apple is expected to unveil new hardware on September 9th. The company is believed to be unveiling the next generation iPhone 6s and a new Apple TV which will likely bring Apple's A8 system on chip; a new drastically improved remote that offers touch-pad input, an increase in on-board storage, an improved operating system that will support Siri voice control, and app! It's not expected to offer web TV service as of yet.

You post an image showing that it's vintage, yet you title it saying that it along with others is obsolete. They're 2 different things.

Wow. The Mac mini late 2009 can support the latest OSX 10.11 (El Capitan) and is already vintage??

Actually he's right the article specifically mentions the "Mac mini (Late 2009)" among others as being listed as vintage or obsolete!! Last I checked vintage and outdated were synonymous with old and outdated. Maybe read the WHOLE article before commenting!! SHEESH some people.

Maybe the title has nothing to do with the Mac. Why do you think I asked?

But you didn't ask anything except "da hell dude"lol. You inferred the commenter was dumb or something for making his comment, which isn't true. Just accept you were wrong and we'll all go on with our lives.
