GossTech has released Eon version 1.2, a significant update to its desktop calendaring software. Eon displays iCal events and tasks right on the desktop. Eon empowers users with enough customization options to satisfy power users and average Mac user.

Eon v1.2 introduces many new features. Two brand new widgets are available. A Summary Calendar displays by day a list of events and todos. User are able to modify and delete items that appear in the list. The second widget is a simple and elegant Analog Clock whose only purpose is to tell you the time the old fashioned way.

User can now insert events and tasks into iCal using Eon's status menu or by setting shortcut keys. Adding events and tasks is extremely simple and quick allowing a user to spend less time breaking their workflow when they need to insert a new item into iCal.

The Day Calendar widget has received some attention as well. Users can now double click an event to modify it. Clicking an event and pressing delete will also remove the event from iCal. With five of the six widgets skin-able, the Skin Store received a lot of development. Users are able to register a Skin Store account, login and upload directly from within Eon. An intuitive interface allows users to upload created content in a snap.
