atPurpose Technologies has announced atPeek 1.0, their new iPhone developer tool for Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Perfect for developers and casual users alike, atPeek was specifically designed to explore and display resources found in iPhone applications, and a great addition to any programmers toolkit.
atPeek takes advantage of the native Mac OS X QuickLook plugin architecture to display fully functional previews of assets. It allows anyone to see normally unaccessible application details, and can export individual assets or entire folders for later viewing. Its flexible architecture allows developers to extend the core functionality by creating and installing custom QuickLook plugins.
Additionally, atPeek serves as an excellent quality control tool. Easily check for duplicate assets at-a-glance, or any other sensitive files which were mistakenly included in iPhone builds. atPeek features an iTunes-like user interface that is simple, yet readily functional and easy to use. The application leverages brand new UI components that are available only in 10.6.
Feature Highlights: * Takes advantage of QuickLook * Export individual assets or entire folders for later viewing * Serves as an excellent Quality Control tool
"We came up with idea of atPeek while developing our own iphone application," Roland Ziemski, co-founder of atPurpose Technologies. "We wanted to learn by example, and see how other developers are putting together their applications. In particular we were curious what is popular image and audio formats that developers use, etc, atPeek was originally developed as a tool for internal use only, but as it grew we realized that other developers can benefit from its use."
Pricing and Availability: atPeek 1.0 is priced at $4.99 (USD) for a single-user license. A five-user license is available for $9.99 (USD).
