Mac-Chi Releases WhoPaste 3.3

Mac-Chi has released WhoPaste 3.3 which features flexible multi-user licensing. The new WhoPaste licenses, which are available for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 and 25 users, can be installed on any supported Mac (Tiger 10.4.3 ), can be transferred to another Mac, and can even be remotely deactivated.

As a token of appreciation, all current WhoPaste customers can upgrade their original 1-user machine-based license to a new 3-user license at no charge. Mac-Chi is just old fashioned that way. Responding to customer requests for more options, Mac-Chi has completely re-engineered the licensing for WhoPaste. The new licenses are just as easy to purchase and install but now offer more flexibility and convenience for customers of all sizes.

Single users will certainly appreciate the new 'machine-free' license. Users can install WhoPaste on any supported Mac. Built-in functionality allows the user to deactivate that license so that it can be used on a different Mac. Deactivation does not require physical access to the originally licensed Mac; if the machine is stolen or its hard drive fails, the user can still transfer the license to its replacement.

The new 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, and 25 user licenses provide cost-effective options for power users, families and organizational workgroups. Power users can employ the 2-user license to have WhoPaste running on both their laptop and their desktop. Families and small business can generally acquire exactly the license support they need, while larger corporate workgroups can build a solution with a just a small number of licenses.

The first user to register is designated the license administrator. The administrator is informed by email each time a new user successfully registers or if an attempt is made to exceed the license limit. In each case a full listing of current license holders is included in the email. Only the administrator can deactivate licenses or transfer the license to a new Mac.

WhoPaste is a powerful front-end for Daylite, Google Contacts, Entourage, and Address Book. WhoPaste, which is instantly available, extracts contacts directly from information found in web pages, emails, text documents, and even spreadsheets with a single keystroke.

Power user features include: significant additional Daylite functionality, post-processing AppleScript, back-office system integration options, citation capture for information sourcing, language customization for niche markets, duplicate contact detection, and much more.
