Sonic Boom, a leading publisher of mobile entertainment applications and games, announced the launch of Alice in Bomberland for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Designed and developed by Chris DeLeon, creator of the hit iPhone game Topple, with character animation by David Hellman, Independent Games Festival award recipient and visual artist behind the hit Xbox Live Arcade and PC game Braid.
Alice in Bomberland puts a new spin on the classic stories and characters from author Lewis Carroll's works Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Help Alice survive 48 challenges, themed with the story's eight most popular characters including The Cheshire Cat, The Hatter, and The Queen of Hearts, while trying to outmaneuver a never-ending barrage of explosives. Alice in Bomberland also features an 11 song soundtrack, 24 types of power-ups, and exclusive artwork by professional children's book illustrator Mark Meyers.
"From the very beginning, our mission was to create a game conveying the surreal strangeness, unpredictable energy, and unforgettable writing of the original works by Lewis Carroll. Our team had a great time bringing these fantastic tales to life. Alice in Bomberland is now ready for everyone to play, and we're excited to hear what you think!" said Chris DeLeon.
Lou Fasulo, SVP of Publishing for Sonic Boom said, "We are very excited to publish this amazing classic story with a surreal twist delivered by a supremely creative development team. Alice will never be the same!"
