St. Clair Software has released Default Folder X 4.3.3. This update corrects several performance issues in our award-winning utility for enhancing Open and Save dialogs. Honored with Macworld Magazine's Editors' Choice Award for Best System Enhancement Utility, Default Folder X makes Open and Save dialogs "work the way they should."
Default Folder X's custom keyboard shortcuts put your favorite and recent folders at your fingertips. Pop-up menus let you navigate your folders and open Finder windows. Previews, Spotlight comments and tags are there when you need them. Open, save, and get back to work: Default Folder X is workflow for the rest of us.
What's New: Default Folder X 4.3.3 is a free update that addresses compatibility issues with Leopard and Tiger. It includes a fix for a problem that could result in Default Folder X consuming a large amount of processor time when running under Mac OS 10.5, making it and the rest of the system perform poorly. It also addresses a situation in which Default Folder X might lose the ability to switch folders in Carbon applications running under Mac OS 10.4.
For users of all systems, Default Folder X now supports the Jing screen capture application and consistently allows you to reverse the order of items in Default Folder X's menus by holding down the shift key.
Pricing and Availability: Default Folder X 4.3.3 is a free update for existing version 4 users. It is $14.95 (USD) for users who bought licenses before June 1, 2007, and costs $34.95 for new users.
