Verizon Launches Unlimited Data Plan for Prepaid Customers

Posted April 25, 2017 at 11:16pm by iClarified
Verizon has announced the launch of an unlimited data plan for prepaid customers.

Starting today, prepaid customers can get unlimited data, talk and text across the U.S. for just $80*. The plan also includes unlimited text to over 200 international destinations and unlimited talk to Mexico and Canada.

“In just months, Verizon has transformed its prepaid offerings to make it easier and more affordable for customers to get access to the best network at a great value, no matter how much data they need,” said Tami Erwin, executive vice president of operations for Verizon. “This plan is all about giving our prepaid customers more choice. With data plans from as little as 2 GB to unlimited data, we’ve got a plan that fits your needs.”

Note that the new unlimited plan doesn't include mobile hotspot or tethering. Video streams are up to 480p. It's not available for machine-to-machine services and Verizon says it may prioritize your data behind other customers during times/places of network congestion.

You can switch to STRAIGHT TALK with a Verizon Phone and get 10gb per month for $55 unlimited talk-text. And not sure what the prepaid versus postpaid gets you. Have a postpaid account and I have the tethering. It's the same price.

You know how they still claim at being the 'best'? When was the last time that happened considering some of your comments?

The last paragraph states that it is not unlimited (technically maybe). It's fun to watch the companies molest their customers in the US.

Their plans has to drop under 20$ with all included. It's still a long way from 80$.
