MacFlite Releases Trip Plan 1.0.12

MacFlite Software has announced Trip Plan 1.0.12, an update to their popular trip planning application for Mac OS X. Designed specifically for aviation professionals, Trip Plan is a unique trip planning solution for pilots. Trip Plan features detailed information for airports around the world, with a database of over 24,000 landing facilities and heliports worldwide. Among only one of Trip Plan's most prolific features is its ability to give quick and accurate great circle distances and flight times between any airports in the database. By adding specific aircraft performance information, pilots can also plan landing and takeoff times based on timezone changes. This information is particularly useful when crossing multiple time zones in one trip. Additionally, Trip plan can give pilots quick fuel planning requirements based on their aircraft's fuel burn. While this feature is no substitute for proper flight planning, it serves as an excellent preflighting tool.
