Reinvented Software has announced the release of Together 2.3 for Mac OS X. Together is an application for storing, previewing, editing and searching all kinds of files. Version 2.3 introduces many improvements to almost every part of the application and takes advantage of new technologies introduced in Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.
In Together 2.3, thumbnail icons can be resized freely and using the multitouch zoom gesture on supported hardware. Together can also now zoom previews using multitouch and supports full-page zooming of web pages, like Safari 4. The appearance of Together's innovative Shelf, for browsing, dragging and making quick notes, has been improved for better contrast against darker backgrounds. Additionally Together, will now run as a 64-bit application on capable Macs running Mac OS X 10.6 and later.
Further improvements have been made to include additional information in the list of items, content searching, smart groups, tag bundles and file management. Together now includes a "Search in Together" system service that can be used in any application and on Snow Leopard includes support for text replacement, smart formatting, data detection and automatic spelling correction.
Pricing and Availability: Together requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later, and is available from the Reinvented Software web site as a 15-day trial that can be unlocked upon purchase. Version 2.3 is a free upgrade for all registered Together 2.x users. A full license costs $39 (USD) and upgrades from KIT 1.x are $14.95. Education and bulk discounts are also available.
