Keep Meetings Moving

LAJ Design has announced the release of a CostToMeet 1.0.2, a meeting timer app for the iPhone and iPod touch. Every meeting costs money and the length of the meeting multiplies the cost for the meeting. Effective meetings need to stay on track, be justified, and be timely.

We have all sat in meetings that were much longer than needed and thought that you wish Joe (the meeting coordinator) realized how much this costs. Or have you walked out after a meeting thinking the meeting was not needed. Sometimes peers and employees need to be reminded about the cost of a meeting when planning meetings. Of course use care when discussing this with your boss.

Walk into a meeting, set the number of participants, start the timer and watch the costs add up. It will show how long you have been in the meeting or a running cost for the meeting. You can configure the number of participants and the cost of each person. Meetings will continue running if you switch programs. You can also pause the meeting.
