Nintendo has officially announced that it's finally bringing a Mario Kart game to mobile devices.
The checkered flag has been raised and the finish line is near. A new mobile application is now in development: Mario Kart Tour! #MarioKartTour Releasing in the fiscal year ending in March 2019.
The news follows an earlier announcement this week that Nintendo is pulling Miitomo, its first game for iOS, from the App Store in May.

I hope it's not another 'Mario Run'-like game. I can already play Super Mario Kart on my RetroArch emulator with ControllersForAll... no need to wait for a mobile version.

I don't have RetroArch but I do have RetroPie and I can use my wireless PS3 controllers with it. Building one of these stations would be much better than a mobile version.

I'm curios to see how tricks will work without the shoulder buttons unless it will be like the Wii version flicking in certain directions.
