Apple Renews 'Carpool Karaoke' for Second Season

Apple has renewed 'Carpool Karaoke' for a second season, reports The Hollywood Reporter. CBS CEO Leslie Moonvew announced the renewal yesterday during a conference call with investors.
Notably, the show is said to remain separate from Apple's larger effort to develop original video content.
Carpool Karaoke remains separate from Van Amburg and Erlicht's television efforts. Because of its music focus, it is seen as additive to the streaming music library that Apple has amassed for it $10-per-month Apple Music streaming service.
No word yet on when the second season is set to arrive.
