After unlocking the phone I can't send out text messages. I receive them with no problem but get an error everytime I send/reply.

My iphone is unlocked already but how do you fix the youtube problem? Also, I have a problem with my phone book, whenever I try to save a number I need to store it twice as +63917xxxxxxx and 0917xxxxxxx (philippine numbers) because it wouldn't be able to recognize the name of the contact in sms messages and in calls. How do I fix this?

I have a 1.1.2 and just used ziphone, did the BSD and then the openSSH installation. After that I added countries using Fugu. After that i rebooted as stated. Now I am stuck with the apple logo. Before rebooting the phone worked well. What to do? Any ideas what the problem could be? Thanks

I used this for new 16gb with my tiger and all seems to work fine. I can't install BSD though, all should be good (unlocked, Wifi fine etc). It works with a SIM from finland too so how about this step, is it necessary? If you are in an unsupported country YOU MUST patch AppSupport after unlocking or your dialer will keep crashing as will your SMS: https://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=598 Help with the BSD would be great!

I can only get themes from polar bear farm to work with summerboard after using ziphone. They will not show up unless it's from Polar Bear Farm. Any ideas? Also, customize does not open, it just tries to and shuts down. Thanks.

Yea, the ziphone terminal won't even find my phone in the initial command "dyld: lazy symbol binding failed: symbol not found: _sleep$UNIX2003 Referenced from: /Users/louis/desktop/ziphone/ziphone expected in: /usr/lib/libsystem.b.dylib" When I gave the directory listing /louis/lib/libsystem.b.dylib it tells me that no such file or directory exists. ? Help please?

ok, this is probably the strangest thing i ever experienced with this phone and trust me, i've gone though a lot: after failing to put it into DFU several times it suddenly worked. then i tried to restore but got a 2001 error (multiple times). i almost surrendered when all of a sudden the phone showed some terminal kind of process on the screen and it came back jailbroken!!! i have not the slightest idea why and how but if you're stuck with the siver logo, just be patient. at some point it'll work ;)

TO THOSE WHO ARE USING ZIPHONE AND ARE GETTING THE SILVER APPLE LOGO AND NO RESPONSE FROM THE COMPUTER: I found the note at the top of the iClarified tutorial for ZiPhone. I struggled for 3 hours last night trying to get the phone unlocked with ZiPhone 1.1, and it would just hang and say Wait 2'30" and then sit at the silver apple logo... Saw the note saying 1.0 wasn't getting those errors. So I tried it with Ziphone 1.0 and it worked perfectly!!! Check which version you are using this may be the problem! Good luck!

Here is a pattern that seems to work repeatedly (where nothing did before) avoiding the white Apple completely: *Option Restore using iTunes selecting a downloaded 1.1.3 firmware file *Remove Sim *Put iPhone Into Restore mode *Run Ziphone BUT MAKE SURE TO SET THE -v FLAG (running without it never completes (white Apple), running with it completes properly) *For those without new baseband (1.1.1 OTB) get BSD, and AnySim 1.3, put into Airline mode, run AnySim, uninstall Anysim This has worked twice now perfectly, where nothing worked before. Its seems like the -v flag lets Ziphone complete properly

hello, thank you for your advice, but shouldn't the baseband on my phone be 4.03.13_G if it came with 1.1.2 OTB? Or does 1.1.3 only come with 4.03.13_G OTB. In any case, I RESTORED these phone to 1.1.3 which I assume would upgrade the baseband. Using Locate Me to get Maps working is a crappy workaround since that has to be done everytime the phone gets shut off/reset whatever. How do I upgrade the baseband on my 1.1.2 OTB iPhone? It is currently activated, jailbroke, and unlocked using ZiPhone. Thanks for any help! :)

My iPhone was plugged in directly

I'm in a similar situation, 1.1.2 OTB, OS10.5.2, itunes 7.6, on a PPC G5. I did see a post about having the iPhone plugged into the computer directly, I think my Dock cable is pluugged into my Cinema display, maybe that could be it? I keep getting the apple logo on the iphone, and the wait 2'30" thing, but it never completes. Can someone post a discernable FAQ?

Pat Dengler - February 13, 2008 at 12:17pm
I keep getting stuck with the white apple logo - where it ask for me to wait 2.5 minutes...it's endless. I'm running Leopard, latest iTunes, 8GB iPhone purchased the day they came out...not sure which BL I have. 1.1.3. I've tried and restored twice now...not sure what else to do...

Jonas - February 13, 2008 at 7:50am
Squirter - don't know. All of a sudden i rebooted... Now on the other hand I can't use the old 1.1.1 - jailbreak - 1.1.2 unlocking solution either as I get error message (1) from iTunes when trying to restore to 1.1.1. What's that all about?

@iClarified... Se previous post. Got the silver apple logo problem but it's stuck! Cant reboot, power/home combination makes no difference. Is it all gone and bricked by now?
Jonas
Jonas - February 13, 2008 at 4:04am
Oops... 1.1.2 OOB, previously jalilbreake and used with StealtSim on 1.1.2. Now restored to 1.1.1 and jailbreaked, upgraded to 1.1.2 (iClarifieds prvious tutorials) then upgrade to 1.1.3 from iTunes. Then ZiPhone tutorial (PPC with downloaded ppc version of ZiPhone). Now SILVER APPLE! Cant rebot, cant get the phone back to restore mode. Bricked?

hello, i have two 1.1.2 OTB iPhones that I restored to 1.1.3 before using ZiPhone. Worked flawlessly, however... these phones have a 4.02.13_G baseband?!??? So the Locate feature in Maps is not working. Any ideas? These are 1.1.2 OTB phones, so they come with the 4.6 bootloader etc, right? One is week 47 and one is week 52 Thank for any help, and a big thanks to Zibri!

@ Moon you need to follow the directions above and download ziphone, unzip it somewhere. Then, well, just copy all the contents of the archive from rapidshare to the same directory (you have to unarchive them first) and execute the universal binary i included.

here is ziphone 1.1 for osx10.4 in x86/ppc and universal binaries form: http://rapidshare.com/files/91386911/ziphone_1.1_osx10.4.tar.gz.html note, you need to have the ziphone 1.1. copy the needed bin from the downloaded archive at the link above into the same directory where you unziped ziphone.

@iclarified I tried ziphone 1.0 and I can confirm it works WITHOUT the 7.4.2 MobileDevice.framework. I followed the tutorial posted above with ziphone 1.0 with only 1 difference from your steps which is that I put the phone into recovery mode, before entering the "./ziphone -a -j -u". This step was in your old tutorial posted earlier today but is omitted from this one. Thanks for your help.
